The Veneziad - Special Edition Hardcover

Hey everyone!

Closing in on the final stretch and we realized that, while all of you are getting one copy of The Veneziad's Deluxe Bookmark with the book, we never set it up as an Add-On in case some of y'all wanted to grab more. 😅 (For more info on how to Edit your pledge to get one about that scroll to the bottom of this update)

We have it added in now, and here's a super quick mockup of one side of the bookmark! We're going to be sending this off to Irina Shirokova to have a custom design made for both sides of the bookmark, which will be shared at a later date.

As we've mentioned in previous updates, we don't skimp on our bookmarks, which typically come with foil accents and painted edges. Some more examples of past bookmarks can be seen below:

If you're satisfied with your one free bookmark with every tier, absolutely no problem, but IF you wanted more and/or want to help us close this final gap to 500k in the next few hours, this is the perfect opportunity!

How do I edit my pledge?

Great question! It largely depends on whether you're accessing Kickstarter from a computer or through the app. Kickstarter has instructions for each, and you can find them at the links below. Once you're editing your pledge, you can add more copies of the bookmark (or anything else) in the Add-Ons section of your pledge.

Wow, everyone!

We wrapped up work on Friday just under the $300k mark, and by Friday night y'all had helped us cross that threshold. More than that, though, none of you seemed content with that. Over the weekend you helped push us all the way to our final stretch goal of $350k!

$50k in 48-hours in the middle of a campaign is absolutely wild, so thank you so much for all the love and support!

As some of you have already commented, getting to $350k allows us to print this book in full color! This will be a Wraithmarked first and we cannot be more excited about it!

$250k Stretch Goal Reached! (Belated)

Hi, everyone!

As Bryce mentioned over the weekend, we were poised to cross the $250k stretch goal, and by Monday morning, y'all helped us do that! Thank you! 

So, now that means that every backer will be getting a deluxe foil bookmark included with their pledge! We'll post a mockup of what that will look like in a future update, so stay tuned! In the meantime, here are a few examples of what those look like!

Next up...

At $350k we'll be able to get each copy of The Veneziad printed in full-color! For a glimpse of what that would look like, here's a colored version of the 2-page chapter header art by Francesca Baerald along with the initial sketch for comparison! Let's see how fast we can get there!

Very quick heads up about the $250k Stretch Goal!

Hey yall! Bryce here! Just a quick heads up that while we are very likely to crack the $250k Stretch Goal today or tomorrow, you will not see an announcement or Update about it until Monday at the earliest!

Wraithmarked is very strict about work life balance and making sure that our team's time off is their time off, so I'm the only one who works weekends and off-hours whenever we can help it (we are not perfect, as their are exceptions for our salaried people on rare occasions). Since I'm not lead on this project, I unfortunately don't have all the information I need to get you guys a proper announcement/Update!

BUT you can look forward to it this week, along with more information about the Stretch Goal! For the time being, an early THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS from all of us, and talk soon!

$200k raised! Announcing a new Stretch Goal!

$200k! Holy HELL, people!

This is wild, and it's been SO much fun to watch the growth of this campaign! We're closing in on doubling our Day 1 final fund number, which is just so atypical it's amazing.

In the interest of keeping this upward momentum going, we've decided to added another Stretch Goal for you guys after the $250k goal, in case we manage to just keep going stratospheric!

If we smash through the included bookmarks and we can reach $350k USD in funding, the interior of The Veneziad will be printed in color! This means that our chapters headers will be done in full color, really making them pop off the page, and we're going to see about potential spots to add other splashes throughout the rest of the book!

This was kind of a pipe dream for us given our printer told us the cost of printing in full color might increase the price of each unit by as much as x5 (the joys of refusing to print outside the US or UK...), but now that we're looking at a significant print run of books, it might just be possible at a doable cost!

So... Onward to $350k! Let's see if we can do it!
