US Backers: Books Have Been Received; Locking addresses in 48 Hours! And... an Update for Non-US Backers!
– Wed, Jun 17, 2026 at 06:46:29 AM
Hi there everyone!
We hope you're doing well and having a good week so far! This update will be in two parts: one part for our US Backers, and the other for our Non-US backers.
For US Backers!
Following up on our last update, we are now ready to start sending out the books! We've caught up with a prior campaign and will beginning packing orders as early as next week! To make sure we're ready for fulfillment, we're going to be locking addresses for US backers by Friday! (Please note that this Friday is Juneteenth in the US, so we will not be able to answer support tickets or emails until we return the following week. If you miss the change of address window, please reach out to us as soon as possible via [email protected])
You can expect an email from Backerkit today informing you of a 48-hour window to make final changes before they lock.
If you are expecting a change of address in the next few weeks, either provide your new address or a different permanent address that's close enough for you to pick them up.
When this window expires, we cannot guarantee that we'll be able to change the address before your pledge ships.
Once addresses lock, we'll print labels in batches of similar orders. Depending on workload, it may take several weeks for fulfillment to complete.
When your order ships you will get an email with tracking information. Please be aware that it may take a few days for the tracking information to update.
If you have questions at any point in this process, please send us a message here on Kickstarter or via email at [email protected]. Even though it is rare, it may take between 3-5 business days to respond (though usually faster) and we do not work on holidays or weekends. We appreciate your patience! <3
If you're a Non-US backer and would like to check your address before we send out your address lock update, please use the following link to check and/or change your shipping information!
For Non-US Backers!
In case you missed our last update, please take a moment and check it out HERE. This is effectively a 'Part 2' to that initial Update.
This Update applies to NON-US BACKERS ONLY. If you are a Backer in the US, feel free to read, but please keep in mind that this Update does not apply to you.
Hey everyone. Bryce here, coming to you with (finally) some good news.
To catch you up on the situation if you're only just learning about this for the first time: In the last week of April, 2026, we told our now ex-fulfillment partner (for non-US customers) that we were parting ways with them due to 1) a plethora of improperly packaged–and therefore often damaged–books being shipped out of their facility, and 2) a very problematic lack of communication on their part when contacted by us about various concerns and questions. That notification came with us telling them that we would need all our product shipped to our new partner.
In a continuing example of that communication issue, said ex-partners failed to adequately respond to our requests and inquiries for over a month, resulting in the significant delay you, our non-US Backers, have suffered.
SO WHAT'S NEW?
On to the good news I promised above: We now have confirmation in the form of a Packing List that our books are palletized and ready to be picked up by our new partner. This means that, barring further delays by said ex-partner, the books should be picked up this week and arriving at our new partner by early next. It will then take some time to get organized, but shipping for 'The Veneziad' should begin shortly after that. 'The Veneziad' is actually the first shipment of books from the printer that went directly to our new fulfillment partner (the have been received and are safe and sound!), but due to contracts, we have been unable to have them begin packing these orders. Since this has been an ongoing issue, Non-US fulfillment has some catching up to do, and there are a couple campaigns that need to fulfill prior to this one.
Now... Would you like to know how we finally made this happen after 4+ weeks of lacking communication?
By speaking to our lawyers, who instructed us to send the ex-partner the following email:
And would you believe y'all... In a shocking twist no one could see coming, within a couple of hours we got this email from an Officer of the company:
And... voila. A little over one business week later, and things magically are palletized and listed. All it took was involving lawyers. Which is... WILD, in my opinion.
So yeah. I won't be sharing further exchanges unless necessary, but as of yesterday, ex-partner has provided a Packing List of all our product, and our new partner is working on scheduling a pickup by end of week.
I'm sorry this Update wasn't "They're shipping!", but I am very glad to be able to say "We're nearly there!" Despite this being something mostly out of our hands, I can't apologize enough for the delay.
As usual, I'll be around to field what questions I can for a couple of days, so toss them in the comments below!
Oh and just for good measure, here is the original email we sent back in APRIL starting this request:
AND NOW... A QUICK VIDEO ABOUT WHY WE ARE LEAVING OUR FORMER FULFILLMENT PARTNER.
I know we've talked about it before, but we continue to get comments and messages from people who wish we had "just let the former non-US partner fulfill the books before switching."
Hopefully this short video will offer some visual context on why we weren't willing to do that. Enjoy.
Blue's Books Received! And an important notice for non-US Backers.
– Mon, May 18, 2026 at 01:10:56 PM
Hey there everyone!
We hope your week is starting off strong! Just a quick update for you all today. We received word from the printer that the completed books will be packed and on a ship to be freighted for the US by the end of next week! From there, it will take roughly a month (possibly 6 or so weeks, weather depending) for them to cross the ocean, arriving around the end of June!
If you're a Non-US backer, our (new!) UK fulfillment partner will have them in hand before end of month.
Thank you Blue for the picture of your hoard!
Handing the update off to Bryce for an important announcement for Non-US backers!
Hey all. Bryce here. Going to do my best to keep this as brief as possible. This is relevant to the 20-30% of you who are not in the US. If you are a US Backer, this portion of the Update does not effect you. For our Non-US Backers:
TLDR: Our current fulfillment partner has consistently been failing us, and therefore, you. So we're moving everything to a different partner.
The longer version:
I could make this an extensive list because it's a pretty long one. But I'm going to keep it to the general two points that affect you guys the most, so you understand why we are doing this.
First, we have been getting near-non-stop complaints about the subpar quality of packing and shipping of our non-US books. This has also come with a significantly higher (like... significantly higher) reports of damaged books requiring replacement. More than once the packing has been so poor that those replacement books then had to be replaced... again.
Second, repeated delays in fulfillment related to large gaps in communication and lost product.
Regarding the subpar quality of packing:
It's easier if we show you. Below is what a typical Wraithmarked book (with some exceptions) is SUPPOSED to look like when properly packed. A branded box designed for the task, book protected by tissue paper (sometimes honeycomb), layers of cardboard to keep it tightly in place and protect it from most impact issues.
This package bounced back to us after sending it out, so it's been through the ringer twice.
While our non-US books used to all come similarly packed, that has not consistently been the case recently. A combination of the partner failing to communicate when they were running out of our materials and not properly training their staff has often resulted in things more like this:
So... yeah. Not happy with that. Reason 1 we're moving.
Regarding the delays in fulfillment:
No images for this, sadly, but it's pretty straightforward. We will sometimes go weeks between emails with this partner, with them failing to even touch base when we follow up with questions about "Did you receive a product?" or "When are those orders being fulfilled?"
If you were a Non-US Shades of Magic Backer, you suffered the consequence of this. We were told that Shades would be out the door within a certain time period. Our Head of Fulfillment followed up several times to ask when shipping would start, with no response for too long a period. In fact, we didn't hear anything back until I followed up with my big bad CEO title, and they finally got moving.
Reason 2 we're moving.
What does this mean for this campaign?
If you're reading this, then the campaign involved may suffer a delay in fulfillment not only because of this transition but because they (our new UK fulfillment partner) have earlier campaigns to fulfill prior to fulfilling this one. We understand that's frustrating. We actually COULD have allowed fulfillment to happen for most of these, but our confidence in this partner is so low that we would rather tell you (in some place yet again) that there is a delay than risk having them deliver more damaged product. Even if the book isn't damaged, I'm no longer willing to let this former partner impact Wraithmarked's reputation in the eyes of the people who receive terrible packaging, thinking that's Wraithmarked's baseline. Because it isn't.
Depending on how soon we can get product moved from this former partner to the new partner, the delay could add as little as two weeks (on top of the time it will take our new fulfillment partner to process the campaigns mentioned above). However, that former partner is (shockingly, I know) not being communicative about facilitating the transfer of our products to the new partner, resulting in us yet again being delayed in something as basic as scheduling a truck pickup.
We will do everything we can to keep you in the loop in our upcoming Updates. For the time being, I'm sorry for the delay. I'm just not willing to risk sending you guys more damaged and mishandled product, especially given the increased number of complaints we've been getting over the last few months.
If you have any questions, please comment below and someone on the team will answer or pull me in to answer.
Cheers,
Bryce, CEO
Final Samples in Hand and Approved! An Update to Fulfillment! And... a Campaign Check In!
– Mon, Apr 20, 2026 at 07:04:18 AM
Hey there folks! We have samples from the final print run in hand! These are books from the completed print run!
We hope you're well! Following up on our last update, the edge printing has been changed, and the books look great! We had them trim down the edges and re-illustrated them to get a much cleaner look!
As stated above, since our last update, the printer has sent us 10 approval copies (10 of the FINAL print run copies) for us to look over and make sure everything looks correct. We have since approved those, and production is nearly complete!
The original estimated printing completion date has since passed from our last correspondence with the printer, and we have been following up with them constantly for updates. We were supposed to have an ETA the week before last, then last Thursday, and we have since reached out once more this past Friday. We're still waiting, but rest assured that we will continue hounding them until we find out where we are on things.
A clarification from last Update.
We owe you all a brief apology. In our last Update, we said "the estimated printing completion/shipping date via the printer is still around the end of this month"
Many of you, very reasonably, thought this meant that we would be fulfilling the campaign at the end of March, when what we were trying to communicate was that the printing would complete and the end of March and freighting of the books to US in New York would begin around the same time.
We're very sorry for this miscommunication on our part, and will be sure to used the term "freighting" instead of "shipping" in the future when discussion the book delivery from the printer to us, to avoid confusion!
A quick campaign check in...
Today, we wanted to take a moment to remind everyone how you can access your pledge. Despite being delayed, it's never a bad idea to hop in to make sure your shipping information is up-to-date! Using the following link, enter the email address that's attached to your Kickstarter account and you should be able to pull your pledge right up!
We'll post a few more reminders like this as we get closer to fulfillment. If you have any questions, please check out the campaign FAQs and if you need additional help, feel free to email us at [email protected]. We're open Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (excluding US holidays)!
An Update to Fulfillment! And... An Upcoming Campaign!

Hey there everyone!
Checking in with you all here with some small updates (as well as a campaign shout out)! Currently, the final print run of The Veneziad is still in progress, though nearly complete. Due to a small tweak we requested be fixed when we received our proof copies, we're anticipating a couple weeks delay to the estimated completion date.
One small tweak we requested they address is the edge printing. Some of the golden lines were quite wavy whereas the design is meant to be rigid.
Pic sent from the printer showing the edge printing!
We're please to say that this issue has been addressed and the pictures we've received look great! We did share a picture of the edge printing in this update: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wraithmarked/theveneziad/posts/4584819 . It may be a little hard to see, but you can make out a little wave to those lines on the blue edge.
All of this being said, the estimated printing completion/shipping date via the printer is still around the end of this month. As mentioned above, due to the error, we're anticipating a slight delay to account for the correction; at this time, we have received no official delay from our printer (we'll let you know if we hear anything new)!
Thank you all for stickin' around and for your patience!
THE ULTIMATE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY OMNIBUS
This one seemed like something a lot of you guys might like to be aware of!
On May 5th, Wraithmarked will be releasing what we believe could be considered the most ambitious omnibus edition of Douglas Adam's THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY series ever produced.
As in not only is it a full-color book, but it's going to include 42 full-color illustrations. And that's JUST the interior art. So add in the Smyth-sewn binding. And acid-free paper. And custom covers. And end sheets. And cloth wrapping. And... Well... You get the picture.
There's more detail and a LOT more art revealed on the pre-launch page, so take a look if it interests any of you guys! As always, this will be a single-print run with campaign exclusive discounts, so Kickstarter is the only place you can guarantee your copy and get it at a discount!
Addressing the new (potential) tariffs. No, we will not be charging anyone any additional fees.

IN REGARDS TO THE POTENTIAL TARIFFS
Hey all, Bryce here. This is a quick one.
As with the last time we went through this situation in 2025, I wanted to let our buyers and Kickstarter Backers who are still awaiting their products know that Wraithmarked Creative will not be instituting any additional fees to cover potential tariff costs.
At this time, it's unclear if there will be new global tariffs, much less what they'll be if they come into being. Regardless, in the event that they happen, please rest assured there will be no surprise fees put in place to cover those costs if you have already purchased a book from Wraithmarked Creative or are awaiting a product from one of our campaigns. We'll manage the additional cost one way or the other.
Here's to hoping these tariffs don't come to fruition, period.
All the best, and thank you, everyone, for your patience while we've navigated the complexities of publishing in 2025/26.
