Latest Updates from Our Project:

A Special THANK YOU! And... Campaign Check In!
4 months ago – Tue, Dec 16, 2025 at 11:05:47 AM

Hi there folks!

Firstly, apologies for the copy/paste nature to this part of the update as we have lots of campaigns to touch on! We just wanted to update everyone and say...

THANK YOU  FOR COMING BY OUR BOOTH AND SAYING HELLO. <3

Dragonsteel Nexus was a wonderful experience for all of us - this was our first time vending at this convention and we had no idea what to expect. I think I speak for the whole Wraithmarked crew when I say we were all blown away by the support and love y'all shared with us. We had so many of you come by, tell us where you heard of us from, what campaigns you backed, what you were looking forward to, and lots of folks who had no idea we were gonna be there! We saw some new faces (hello if you late pledged to this campaign!) and chatted with any and everyone. The whole trip was a blast!

Thank you again for making our first Dragonsteel Nexus the best convention we've ever been to!

The Wraithmarked booth! Still setting up, but lookin good!
Bryce signing 'Iron Prince' for a fan and me, dissociating.
Eira signing a copy of her book 'Run Like Hell' for a fan, me chatting (dissociating), and the true hero of the convention: the white sugar-free can in the bottom of the picture. The true savior of Dragonsteel!

Now for a campaign check-in...

We've got a couple exciting bits of news to share with you all today! First off... you may remember us mentioning an apology gift earlier in the year for the delay in fulfillment due to our printer being hacked as well as our own oversight (feel free to check out that update HERE: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wraithmarked/theveneziad/posts/4441417). After discussing with Blue and the team, we've decided to include an alt-color sticker sheet! Check that out below!

As mentioned in the linked update, Wraithmarked is going to be adding an apology gift to every single book-level backer and above!

Now for the second bit of good news...

We've just received word yesterday that The Veneziad proofs have completed printing!! We are SO excited and we will absolutely be posting an update with pictures for you guys. Long time coming, but they'll be worth the wait!

Currently, they're scheduled to be sent from the printers later this week. From there, they'll be packed on a ship and sent our way!

Thanks so much for stickin' around, everyone! If we don't chat before the end of the year, we hope you're all well, safe, and enjoy this time spent with family and loved ones (or with the company of pets for the fellow introverts, here)!

Only 48hrs left in a campaign Red and Blue are both a part of! Here comes LABYRINTH!
5 months ago – Wed, Nov 26, 2025 at 11:50:04 AM

Hey all! Firstly, I'm so so sorry to make this Update a standalone! As many of you know we very very rarely do shoutouts as standalones, but this was supposed to go out with the Update on Monday, and we totally missed adding it in. Since OSP is involved and the window to back is rapidly closing for those of you who might want to take part, I'm tossing it up now! Again, though, you have my apologies.

And now, a message from Blue:

Hello everyone,

I am so excited for you all to get your hands on the Veneziad SOON, soon dammit, so very soon. But while this book has been in process, I've actually been working on a ~brand new story~, co-written by myself and channel-partner Red. It's a short story about the painful intersection of ghosts & technology, sporting a mix of prose writing with a highly poetic opening act.

You can find it in LABYRINTH – a science-fantasy anthology series combining short stories with beautiful artwork. Our good friend Tim Hickson of Hello Future Me has assembled a team of authors and artists to create a labyrinth (oh hey he said the thi–) of worlds to explore.

The project is currently running right now on Wraithmarked's Kickstarter, where you can back the project as well as get extra goodies. It was so fun to write this story with Red, and it's a joy to be part of such an exciting collaboration with so many talented artists and authors.

Blue

Red and Blue have contributed a co-written short story to our new LABYRINTH collection, which is spearheaded by none other than the YouTuber HelloFutureMe!

LABYRINTH is a $25 collection of fantasy and science fiction stories broadly themed around fantastical creatures we all know and love. Dragons. Direwolves. Eldritch beasts. That jellyfish spreading aurora through the sky? All of them. There are lots of other kinds of stories too, all intertwined with custom art commissioned to make this project beautiful—and including detailed breakdowns of the artistic process so you can go behind the curtain of how incredible art like this is made.

Dust Jacket Mockup

The base book will be printed in a ~5x7in (~12.7x17.8cm) format and will feature high-end offset printing! It will have a full-wrap dust jacket with additional glossing and embossing elements, with the bare book showing off the full artwork done for the cover by the amazing Schmandrew (aka Andrew Thompson)!

Softcover Case Mockup

It's not just authors who have contributed to Volume Zero, though! We commissioned custom pieces from three incredible artists with wildly different styles to provide illustrations for this project!

Take a look at these!

End Sheet Art by Syd Mills
End Sheet Art by Erica Williams
Cover Art by Andrew Thompson

Each has not only created something new and wonderful, they've also provided multiple work-in-progress images taken throughout the development and have written up a breakdown of their process to give you an exclusive behind the scenes look at their creative process!

We're approaching our very last Stretch Goal as we speak, so any love for the project would be amazing, and also be in support of Red and Blue as well!

Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you all as always for support our projects!

Tip-ins Have Arrived at the Printer!
5 months ago – Mon, Nov 24, 2025 at 08:10:19 AM

Hey there folks!

Just a short and sweet update for you all today! We have word that Blue finished signing the signature pages a couple weeks ago and sent them on their way. Since then, they have arrived safely at our printer! Woo!

(And hopefully, Blue has had a chance to rest his hand!)

These signature pages will be placed in the final versions of the books! One step closerrr!

A Look at the Cases! And a Campaign Shout-Out!
6 months ago – Mon, Oct 27, 2025 at 09:47:51 AM

Hi there everyone!

We've got some exciting news to share with you all today: the case proofs came in! Yaaay! For any who don't know, the cases are the rigid exterior cover of the book that's made separately from the text block and attached later! Take a look!

The cases are a gorgeous shade of red - super vibrant! The gold also accents the color and will give these books an almost antiquated feel. No matter how you choose to display these editions, they'll catch the attention of any who glance their way!

A look at the inner case!

Don't worry if this picture looks alarming! You never get to see this portion of the book - that's because this interior is always covered by the text block (along the spine of the book) and the endsheets (the larger flat surface of either side). We thought it would be cool to give you folks a glance at this portion of production; we hope it was enlightening!

Now, for a campaign shout-out...

The funding period is drawing near for another Wraithmarked campaign: Bram Stoker's Dracula! This is our current project - perfect for the month of October! Take a look below!

When Jonathan Harker visits Transylvania to help Count Dracula purchase a London house, he makes horrifying discoveries in his client's castle. Soon afterwards, disturbing incidents unfold in England: a ship runs aground on the shores of Whitby, its crew vanished; beautiful Lucy Westenra slowly succumbs to a mysterious, wasting illness, her blood drained away; and the lunatic Renfield raves about the imminent arrival of his 'master'. In the ensuing battle of wills between the sinister Count and a determined group of adversaries—led by the intrepid vampire hunter Abraham van Helsing—Bram Stoker created a masterpiece of the horror genre, probing into questions of identity, sanity, and the dark corners of Victorian sexuality and desire.

This is only a sneak peek! You can take a look at the whole campaign HERE! The final days are fast approaching... with only 4 days left on the live campaign to snag some super cool bundles and great discounts, we urge folks who are interested to back sooner than later!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by. We'll see you all in the next update!

Let the Signing Commence!

Hi all!

We've received word from G. B. Stewart - the signature pages have been received! Horray!

He's got his work cut out for him, that's for sure! As always, be sure to send him good vibes and well wishes for his signing arm... he may be feelin it after several thousand pages!

Blue seems quite fitting, no?

Short and sweet today! Hope you all are well and we hope you have an excellent weekend!
